Winter Storm Watch late Tuesday night into Wednesday

A very active weather pattern will bring a winter storm to Southern New England late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The storm will likely start as snow, but may transition to sleet and rain, especially near the coast. Several inches of snow are possible before a change to mixed precipitation. A mainly snowstorm may occur in interior Southern New England. The storm is likely to have a high impact on the Wednesday morning commute. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch ahead of the storm.
