Showers Continue on Thursday

The storm took a little longer than expected to develop, but it is delivering on its promise of nasty weather for Southern New England. Wednesday night will be wet and windy with the potential for wind gusts over 30 mph and occasional heavy rain in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. It will be a raw night with lows in the mid to upper 40s.

Showers and breezy conditions will continue on Thursday, but it does not look as miserable as the weather from late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the 50s with a 15-35 mph northerly breeze. There may be some drizzle and mist when it’s not raining. It will stay damp and windy Thursday night. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.

The storm will move into Nova Scotia on Friday, and the shower chances diminish in Southern New England. It will be partly cloudy and breezy with highs near 60. Showers cannot be completely ruled out, but they should be isolated if they develop.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and a bit milder, with highs in the low 60s after morning lows in the mid to upper 40s. A cold front will move through Saturday night, and Sunday looks brisk and cool. Highs will be in the 50s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few passing showers are possible. The cool snap will not last for long. Highs will stay in the mid to upper 50s with mostly sunny skies on Monday. It will jump into the 60s on Tuesday, and may reach 70 inland on Wednesday if a cold front does not pass by during the day. It looks like it will stay dry from Monday through at least midday Wednesday.
