Flurries and snow showers are likely Saturday night in Southeastern New England. The temperature will be in the low 30s, and a coating to an inch of snow is possible. Any snow will end by Sunday night, and lows will be near 30 with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Monday should be a decent day, with a blend of clouds and sunshine, and highs in the low 40s. A weak storm system will bring a few showers on Tuesday. The temperature will be in the low to mid 40s on Tuesday.

The weather will be nasty on Christmas Eve in Southern New England. A strengthening storm center will move through the Great Lakes, and Southern New England will be on the warm side of the storm. Occasional rain will become heavy at times Wednesday afternoon and night. 1-3″ of rain is possible, and there may be some street flooding and ponding on the roads. The rain should end Christmas morning before 10 am.

There will be strong southeasterly winds with the storm. Gusts over 50 mph are possible near the coast on Wednesday night. Minor coastal flooding is possible at high tide Wednesday night.

The wind will shift to the west on Christmas. It will be partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the 40s on Thursday. Friday looks dry and seasonably mild, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
