The temperature soared into the 80s inland on Sunday, but the summer-like warmth will not be staying around for long. The wind will shift to the northeast Sunday night. Low clouds and fog may develop by dawn on Monday. The temperature will fall into the mid to upper 50s. Clouds may be stubborn for a while on Monday, with the best chance of sunshine late in the day. An approaching cold front may scare up a few showers on Tuesday. It does not look like anything close to a washout, and some may not see any rain at all. There will be a fair amount of clouds, and highs will be in the low to mid 60s.

Pleasant weather is ahead from Wednesday into the Memorial Day weekend. Look for more sunshine on Wednesday with high highs close to 70. Thursday looks nice. The temperature will dip into the 40s to low 50s Wednesday night. It will warm to near 70 in the afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Some clouds are possible on Friday as a cold front nears. Highs will be close to 70. A stray shower cannot be ruled out.

Saturday and Sunday should be dry. High temperatures on Saturday may struggle to reach the upper 60s with a blend of clouds and sunshine. Look for highs climbing into the mid 70s inland by Sunday afternoon. We’ll have more details on the Memorial Day weekend forecast in the coming days.
