The tenth running of the Providence Marathon will be held on May 7, 2017. This exciting race day in DownCity will host a marathon, half marathon, 5k and kids fun run.
The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 7 in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The Half Marathon will start at 8:00 a.m. from the same place. The 5k will follow at 8:15 am and the kids race with take off at 8:20 – all from the same great downtown running festival.
After a couple of very soggy days (good for pre-race resting and napping!) the weather will be pretty good for the races on Sunday. There is a very low chance of rain, and the southwest breeze will offer a tailwind for marathon runners heading back to Providence on the East Bay Bike Path.
