Comparing Hurricane Sandy track to Irene

Many Southern New Englanders have been asking how Hurricane Sandy will compare to Tropical Storm Irene which hit one year ago. Although, it’s too early to know exactly what track Sandy will take, it is looking rather likely that the storm will move inland somewhere southwest of Southern New England. Irene also moved inland south of Southern New England, but it approached from a completely different angle, which means different impacts for Southern New England.
