Increasing clouds on Sunday

Saturday was spectacular from start to finish with highs in the 70s and very low humidity. Clouds were hard to come by, and it will stay clear Saturday night. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s. Sunday should start with plenty of sunshine. The temperature will climb into the 70s by mid-morning, and it may reach 80° inland by early in the afternoon. Clouds will increase during the afternoon, and scattered showers are possible by late in the day. There will be an increasing south-southwesterly wind at 15-25 mph during the afternoon. It will not be an overly muggy day, but there will be more humidity than Saturday.

Showers are possible Sunday evening, and there may be some patchy fog after midnight. It will be seasonably mild with lows near 60. Monday should become partly cloudy. Highs will be in the low 80s inland and 70s near the coast. There is the outside chance of a passing shower, but widespread rain is not expected. A disturbance passing through on Tuesday has a better chance of bringing a period of rain to Southern New England.

The mid to late workweek forecast looks fine. Wednesday will likely be a slightly cooler day, with highs in the low 70s. High pressure moving into the Northeast from the Great Lakes should help to provide plenty of sunshine. Thursday looks delightful, with sunshine and highs in the 70s. Friday is shaping up to be partly cloudy, muggier, and breezy, with highs in the 70s to low 80s.
