National Weather Services issues Heat Advisory

The combination of 90°+ degree heat and high humidity may lead to a heat index that is near 100° in parts of Southern New England on the Fourth of July. The National Weather Service office in Taunton, MA has issued a Heat Advisory for the areas highlighted in yellow on the map. Boston, Providence, and Hartford are all included in the Heat Advisory. There will be some relief from the heat at area beaches where a southwesterly breeze will keep the temperature in the 80s.
