A severe thunderstorm may have produced a tornado late Wednesday afternoon near Storrs, CT. A Tornado Warning was in effect at the time that the pictures and video were taken around 6 pm Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Although it is difficult to tell in the video if the funnel cloud is actually on the ground, there are reports of tree damage in the area. The National Weather Service will likely survey the damage and provide a preliminary report on Thursday.
