THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS EXPANDED THE * FLASH FLOOD WATCH TO INCLUDE PORTIONS OF NORTHERN CONNECTICUT AND CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...HARTFORD...TOLLAND AND WINDHAM COUNTIES...IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...SOUTHERN WORCESTER COUNTY. * UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING. * A COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY MOVE ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WITH VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR IN PLACE AHEAD OF IT. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP AND PUSH ACROSS THE REGION TODAY INTO EARLY TONIGHT. SOME OF THE SHOWERS AND STORMS MAY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAIN.
