Pro Update: Rain ends as snow Friday night

We expect rain to change to snow before ending early Saturday. The timing of the change is critical, and it does not look like it will happen quickly enough for a significant snow accumulation in most of Southern New England. The best chance of seeing a couple of inches of snow is in hills of Worcester County and in the Berkshires. Southeastern New England should see between 0-1″. The change to snow will happen Friday evening in the Berkshires. It will happen in the I-95 corridor after midnight. The temperature will probably not fall below freezing from the coast to I-95 late Saturday night. We do not expect icy roads. The snow will have difficulty accumulating on a wet road with the temperature in the low to mid 30s.
