A fast-spreading brush fire is threatening homes in Glendora, California east of Los Angeles. The fire had grown to 30 acres by 6:50 am local time, and dry winds are expected to increase to 30 mph during the day Thursday. Much of California is mired in an extreme drought, and Red Flag Warnings are in effect for the Los Angeles area. Residents of Glendora were evacuating early Thursday as the fire spread quickly in the Angeles National Forest.
