Flash Flood Watch Through Wednesday

Locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely to happen periodically through the midweek in Southern New England. It is hard to pinpoint exactly where the heaviest rain will happen, and rainfall amounts could vary greatly over short distances, but a very humid airmass has the potential for torrential downpours and localized street flooding. Some of the hardest hit areas could pick up 3-4″ of rain by Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service in Taunton, MA has issued a Flash Flood Watch for most of Southern New England through Wednesday afternoon.
