The weekend ended with some sunshine in all but coastal Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts where clouds and showers persisted into the late-afternoon on Sunday. It will be partly to mostly cloudy with patchy fog and mist Sunday night. Lows will be near 60. Any low clouds, fog and mist will burn off Monday morning to partly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, and 70s near the coast with a south-southwest breeze.
Tuesday should be a decent day with partly to mostly sunny skies. The low in the morning will be in the low to mid 60s, and it should reach the low to mid 80s inland in the afternoon. An onshore breeze will keep the beaches in the 70s. There is a lower chance of pop-up showers and t-storms on Tuesday afternoon, but they cannot be completely ruled out. The best chance of rain on both Monday and Tuesday is inland.
A disturbance moving in from the west will likely kick off showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon. It will be a breezy, warm, and muggy day with partly sunny skies before any showers/storms arrive. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, and 70s near the coast. The shower and thunderstorm threat continues through Wednesday evening as the front passes through New England.
The end of the workweek looks decent. Thursday will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Friday into next weekend should be partly to mostly sunny and seasonably warm. Highs will be in the low 80s. It will not be very muggy, and overnight lows will be in the low 60s.
