Rainy Saturday; Showery Sunday

A storm moving north from the Mid-Atlantic will bring rain to Southern New England on Saturday. The rain may begin before dawn at the coast, and it will spread north during the morning. The best chance of heavy rain through midday Saturday is in coastal Southeastern Massachusetts. The rain may taper to showers by mid to late afternoon. The best chance of seeing dry weather is north of the Massachusetts Turnpike. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. Saturday night looks mostly cloudy with the chance of passing showers and patchy fog. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.

Rain is likely on Saturday in all of Southeastern New England

The weather may stay unsettled on Sunday, especially on Cape Cod and the islands. It will be a mostly cloudy day with scattered showers. The best chance of seeing rain is near the coast. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s again. The hardest hit areas may pick up more than two inches of rain this weekend. The I-95 corridor will likely receive 0.5-1″.

The weather will gradually improve early next week. Monday looks partly cloudy with a pop-up thunderstorm, primarily inland, in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s. Tuesday will be similar, with a slightly better chance of pop-up showers and storms near Boston. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, and 70s near the coast. The midweek should be nice, with partly to mostly sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will be in the 80s inland, and upper 70s near the coast.
