Scattered Snow Showers on Thursday

The large storm over the Northeast will continue to be bothersome with scattered rain showers changing to snow showers Wednesday night, and continuing off and on through Thursday. The temperature will fall into the low to mid 30s by dawn on Thursday, and a change to snow showers late at night could lead to a few slick spots early in the day. Once the sun rises, the snow will have a tough time sticking to pavement because the temperature will rise to 32-35° and the snow will be relatively light.

It will be mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers on Thursday

Occasional snow showers are possible into Thursday evening before the storm finally begins to lose its grip on New England weather. While snow sticking to pavement is unlikely during the day, once the sun sets there could be some slick spots. The threat of snow showers diminishes Thursday night. The temperature will fall into the mid to upper 20s by early Friday morning.

There will likely be a quiet and seasonable stretch of weather from Friday through the weekend into early next week. Look for a blend of clouds and sun on Friday. Highs will be in the upper 30s. The temperature will dip into the 20s again Friday night before rising into the low 40s on Saturday afternoon under partly sunny skies.

Sunday and Monday look decent, with highs in the low to mid 40s and a fair amount of sunshine. Lows will stay in the mid to upper 20s. A storm system moving from west to east across the country may bring rain/snow in the middle of the week. Right now, it does not look like a big deal, and it’s possible the energy will split and most of all the precipitation will pass north and south of Southern New England.
