No Big Warm-Up This Week

It will be dry and seasonable on Wednesday with a blend of clouds and sunshine. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s inland, and upper 50s to low 60s near the coast. A northeast wind will develop on Thursday as a storm spins off the Mid-Atlantic coast. It looks partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s in Rhode Island, and mid to upper 50s in Eastern Massachusetts.

Wednesday looks partly sunny in the Northeast

The storm will be close enough to Southern New England Thursday night into Friday to bring low clouds, gusty winds and cool conditions. There may be a few stray showers or drizzle and mist. The temperature will hold in the 40s Thursday night, and may struggle to reach 50 on Friday. There will be a 15-30 mph northeast wind.

The weather will improve on Saturday, but it does not look spectacular. Skies will become partly cloudy with highs close to 60 inland, and in the 50s near the coast. Sunday looks nicer, but a stray afternoon shower cannot be ruled out. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s on Sunday with partly cloudy skies.

All signs point to warmer weather early next week. The high may reach 70 inland on Monday and Tuesday. It will stay in the 60s near the coast, and a strong onshore afternoon breeze could drop it into the 50s by late in the afternoon.
