The storm system that brought 1-3″ of rain to Southeastern New England through midday Sunday moved out very quickly in the afternoon. The weekend ended with warm, muggy sunshine. The workweek will begin with nice weather on Monday. It will not be as humid as Sunday afternoon was. Highs will be in the mid 80s inland, and near 80 at the coast. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny.
It will be mainly clear and mild Monday night. Lows will be in the mid 60s. A cold front will trigger scattered thunderstorms in Southern New England on Tuesday – primarily in the afternoon and early evening. If it gets warm enough during the day, some of the storms could become strong to severe. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s on Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday both look fair. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s at the coast, and low 80s inland. Clouds will increase late Thursday. Highs will be in the 70s to low 80s.
The forecast is tricky for the end of the workweek. A storm system may bring showers on Friday, especially in the morning. It looks relatively cool, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Saturday should be dry, but more rain is possible next Sunday.
