Friday was a beautiful day with blue skies, fair-weather clouds, and much lower humidity than earlier in the week. It looks like the nice weather will carryover into this weekend.
FRIDAY NIGHT
Skies will be mainly clear as the full “blue” moon shines brightly in the sky. A blue moon is the second full moon of the month. The temperature will fall into the mid 60s to around 70 by dawn.
SATURDAY
Early sunshine will give way to some midday clouds. There is a slight chance of a pop-up shower in Northwest Rhode Island. The afternoon will be partly cloudy, and a bit more humid. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s inland, and low to mid 80s near the coast with a southwest breeze. Saturday night will be mainly clear and mild. Lows will be near 70 on Sunday morning.
SUNDAY
The weekend will end with gorgeous weather on Sunday. Look for mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s inland, and low to mid 80s near the coast. A light south to southwest breeze will develop around midday and increase to 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Sunday night looks mild and muggy, with lows near 70.
NEXT WEEK
Monday should be a typical early August day in Southeastern New England. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s, and low to mid 80s at the beach (sound familiar?) with a blend of clouds and sun. An approaching front may threaten the area with a few showers or storms in the evening, but there’s a decent chance that they stay over Western New England. The temperature will fall into the low 70s by dawn on Tuesday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday, but it does not look like a washout. Highs will be in the 80s. Wednesday looks partly to mostly cloudy and a bit cooler, with highs in the low to mid 80s. The trend is for cooler weather into next weekend.
