Right Weather Summer Vacation

02809photo.com

I knew it going into this venture, but, after three years it’s more clear than ever – the weather (and forecasting it) never stops! This site has been updated on a daily basis since August 1, 2012. So, after more than 6,500 updates since the day the site launched, I will be taking a short break for a little R&R with my family. There will be few, if any, updates to the site between July 10-15. If time allows (and I can’t kick the habit), I may keep the 7 Day Forecast and 15 Second Forecast current. Otherwise, I will be back at it on Thursday, July 16.

THURSDAY NIGHT
A disturbance moving through New England will trigger showers, which could be heavy at times, from late in the evening until early in the morning. There is still a lot of moisture in the atmosphere over Southeastern New England, so more than a half-inch of rain is possible. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s with a northeast breeze.

FRIDAY
After a cloudy and damp start, clouds will slowly break up by midday. It will be a fine afternoon, with some sunshine, and highs in the low 80s inland, and 70s at the coast. Winds will be light out of the northwest in the morning before turning onshore in the afternoon.

WEEKEND
A great weekend is ahead of for our area. It will feel like mid-summer both days. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s inland on Saturday, and close to 80 at the beach with an onshore afternoon breeze. Skies will be mostly sunny. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s Saturday night. Sunday looks gorgeous, and possibly a bit warmer. Highs inland will flirt with 90 if a sea breeze does not kick in early in the day. Near the coast, it will be in the low 80s. Once again, there should be plenty of sunshine.

EARLY NEXT WEEK
A slow-moving disturbance in the Northeast will lead to some clouds on Monday. It does not look as warm as the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday. Highs will be in the same ballpark as Monday. It does not look like a washout. Drier, seasonable weather is ahead for Wednesday.
