Nice Monday; Rain Likely Tuesday

The workweek will begin with pleasant and dry weather. Just like last week, the stormiest weather of the week is likely on Tuesday.

MONDAY
It will be a mainly clear to partly cloudy and comfortable start to the day. Lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s with a light northerly breeze. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny during the day. It will not be too humid, and highs will be near 80. Clouds and humidity will increase Monday night. Patchy fog and a few showers are possible by dawn on Tuesday. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.

Rain is likely in the Northeast on Tuesday

TUESDAY
A strong storm system moving into New England from the west will trigger showers and thunderstorms. The highest threat of rain is from late in the morning through the afternoon. The main threat is for locally heavy rain in any thunderstorms. Upwards of 2″ of rain is possible in the hardest hit areas. Highs will be in the mid 70s, and it will be quite humid. There will be a 10-25 mph southerly breeze. The rain threat ends Tuesday night. Lows will be in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY
Drier weather arrives as the storm moves into Eastern Canada. Look for partly sunny skies. An isolated afternoon inland thundershower is possible. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, and near 80 at the coast. It will not be too humid. Wednesday night looks mainly clear and comfortable. Lows will be near 60.

THURSDAY-FRIDAY
The end of the workweek looks great. It will be partly to mostly sunny and warm during the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. At night, skies will be mainly clear, and lows will be in the low 60s.

NEXT WEEKEND
A weak cold front may trigger a few showers or storms on Saturday. It will be muggy and warm with highs in the 80s. The early outlook for next Sunday is for sunshine with highs in the 80s.
