A cold front passing through Southern New England late Thursday night will bring much cooler and less humid weather for Friday into the Labor Day weekend. It will warm pretty quickly over the weekend, but the humidity will stay low through Sunday.
FRIDAY
There will not be full sunshine Friday, and thick low clouds are possible in the morning. Three may even be a few stray showers or some drizzle with a northeast breeze. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. There will be a 10-20 mph northeast wind. Friday night will be the coolest in weeks, with lows in the low to mid 50s under clear skies.
SATURDAY
There will be a clear and cool start to the day, but it should warm to slightly above normal in the afternoon. Look for tons of sunshine, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. The humidity will stay low, and the breeze will be light. Saturday night looks clear and cool, with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
SUNDAY
You can expect another great day on Sunday. Skies will be mostly sunny, and highs will be in the low to mid 80s – perfect for hitting the beach. It will not be a very humid day. An afternoon sea breeze will cool the coast. Sunday night does not look as cool as the past two nights, with lows near 60.
LABOR DAY
Monday will be warmer, and possibly muggy by late in the day. Look for partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s inland. It will be in the low 80s near the coast. Monday night will be muggy and mild, with lows in the 60s.
MIDWEEK
Very warm to hot weather continues through the middle of the week. Tuesday may be the hottest of the stretch, with highs in the low 90s possible inland. It will be somewhat humid, and lows will be in the mid to upper 60s through the midweek. Wednesday and Thursday also look very warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Showers and t-storms may bring cooler weather Thursday night into Friday.
