Milder Midweek / Rain Likely Friday

Spring snow melted very quickly on Monday, and there is more mild weather ahead in the middle of the week. A back-door front may temporarily bring colder weather before the wind shifts to the south and milder air surges in with rain likely on Friday.

TUESDAY
It looks like a pretty standard late March day. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 40s. There will be a 10-20 mph westerly breeze. Clouds will increase Tuesday night. Lows will be near 40.

WEDNESDAY
Morning clouds (and possibly a stray shower inland) will give way to some afternoon sunshine.  A southwest breeze will get the temperature into the mid to upper 50s in the afternoon. A back-door cold front will arrive Wednesday night. That will knock the temperature back into the 30s by dawn on Thursday.

Warmer air arrives Wednesday, but cool weather lurks to the north and returns on Thursday

THURSDAY
The northeast breeze continues during the day on Thursday. Highs will only be in the low 40s with some sunshine. The wind will swing around to the southeast and south as clouds increase Thursday night. The temperature will hold steady or rise, and there may be patchy fog by late at night.

FRIDAY
Rain is likely as a cold front approaches from the west. Winds will gust to 25-35 mph near the coast. The temperature will rise into the mid 50s. Rain will end from west to east during the afternoon.

EASTER WEEKEND
Saturday looks mostly cloudy and chilly. Highs will be near 40 if clouds persist. A bit of sunshine would get highs into the mid to upper 40s. It will clear Saturday night. Lows will be in the low 30s on Easter. Look for partly sunny skies with highs in the mid 40s at the coast, and low 50s inland on Sunday afternoon. More rain is likely early next week.
