Dreary…that’s the best way to describe the first two days of May. Unfortunately, it looks like there will be more showers in the upcoming week due to a stubborn weather pattern in the Eastern United States. Showers are likely Monday and Tuesday. While Wednesday does not look very wet, we can’t rule out more showers, especially in the afternoon. The best bet for a rain-free day this week is Thursday.
A slow-moving area of low pressure will bring the threat of more rain Friday into the weekend. Once again, it looks like there will be showers for 2-3 days, but there will also be dry stretches between the rain. It does not look as cool Friday-Sunday as it will be early in the week.
Dry and warmer weather is likely early next week as a ridge of high pressure sets up south of New England. Monday through Wednesday should be decent, with temperatures well into the 60s under mostly sunny skies. Late next week, another series of disturbances may move into the Northeastern United States, bringing back the chance of rain late next workweek and into next weekend.
