August 29th Update

Tuesday looks spectacular with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low 80s. It will not be muggy, and it should stay comfortable into early Wednesday. Clouds increase Wednesday afternoon ahead of a cold front that will bring scattered showers Wednesday night and Thursday – especially in the morning. The front will also help to steer the tropical depression near the Outer Banks out to sea well offshore of New England. Some rough surf is likely at area beaches through the midweek.

I expect a cool-down heading into the end of the workweek and start of the Labor Day weekend. It will have an early fall feel with lows in the 50s and highs in the mid to upper 70s Saturday, Sunday, and possibly still on Monday, although it could be a bit warmer than that on Monday afternoon. The weather looks dry from Friday into the middle of next week provided Tropical Depression Nine in the Gulf of Mexico passes out to sea south of Southern New England. Check out the video for more on that and the outlook through mid-September.
