Please note this will be the last update until August 14th due to my summer vacation.
Dry and pleasant weather will move into Southeastern New England by Sunday morning. The temperature will climb into the 80s on Sunday afternoon both coast and inland with a northwest to west breeze. It will not be a humid day, with dew points in the low 60s at the coast and 50s inland.
Fine weather continues early next week. Look for highs in the low to mid 80s with low humidity Monday and Tuesday. It will get muggier in the midweek with scattered t-storms possible late Wednesday and early Thursday as the humid air returns. Highs will be in the 80s on Wednesday, and may get close to 90 inland on Thursday with a “dog days” feel.
The forecast is tricky for Friday-Sunday. It looks like it will stay mainly dry on Friday with hot/humid conditions. A stray afternoon t-storm is possible. A frontal boundary gets closer to Southeastern New England next weekend, and that increases the odds of showers/storms Saturday afternoon and Sunday. At this early point in the forecast, there is a better chance of rain on Saturday than Sunday.
