After a rare rainy day to start the workweek, we’ll have more warm sunshine to wrap up summer and begin fall. Autumn begins on Thursday at 10:21 AM EDT, and it will feel a lot more like summer in New England. Tuesday will begin with cloudy skies and patchy fog. It will be mild and muggy early in the day. Some sun will break through in the afternoon, and highs may reach 80°. It will stay pretty humid through the day.
Drier air will gradually move in on a westerly breeze Wednesday night. It will stay relatively mild, with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Wednesday will be a beauty, with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. It will not be humid. Thursday should be very nice, too. Highs will be in the same ballpark as Wednesday with plenty of sun.
Fine weather continues on Friday. In fact, it may be even warmer than Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front will move through Southern New England on Saturday. Highs will reach the 70s, but it will turn cooler and windy in the afternoon. Passing showers are possible as the front moves through in the morning until early in the afternoon. It does not look like widespread rain.
Sunday will be partly cloudy, brisk and cool. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.
