An unsettled weather pattern will persist for the rest of this week. Clouds may clear briefly Tuesday night, but it will become cloudy again by early Wednesday. Look for plenty of clouds with a gusty northeast breeze on Wednesday. Scattered showers are possible, but it does not look like a washout. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.
Thursday will also be a cloudy day, and it will be cooler with highs in the low 60s. A 15-25 mph northeast breeze continues. There is a better chance of rain on Friday. It will still be breezy and cool, with the temperature holding near 60 throughout the day. 0.5-1″ of rain is possible Friday and Friday night.
Damp and dreary conditions will persist through Saturday. Look for highs in the low 60s with showers, drizzle, and mist. More showers are possible Sunday morning as the storm slowly moves over New England. It will likely be drier and maybe a bit brighter in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 60s.
The weather looks mainly dry and seasonable for most of next workweek. Highs will be close to 70, and lows will be in the 40s/50s.
We continue to watch the disturbance that may become Tropical Storm Matthew very soon. Conditions are favorable for strengthening. The storm may threaten the United States sometime next week. It’s way too early to say if it will go into the Gulf of Mexico or off the Eastern Seaboard. It should stay in the Southern Caribbean through the next 4-5 days.
