A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through tonight for all of Southern New England, but the odds of flash flooding are pretty low for most towns. I expect most areas to receive 1″ or less rain, and that is not enough for street flooding. A few towns/cities could get 2-3″ rain, and that may cause some issues with street/stream flooding tonight into early Friday.
The rain threat for coastal New England ends by mid to late morning, and Friday afternoon looks dry and cooler. Temperatures will be close to 60 with much lower humidity in the afternoon. Expect a chilly Friday night, and Saturday looks somewhat gloomy. It will be cool with showers around in the morning. Temps will only be in the 40s! By late in the afternoon, it may reach the low 50s as skies brighten a bit. Sunday will be a dry and seasonably cool day with highs 55-60.
