The back edge of the storm that brought rain to part of Southern New England on Monday will bring another round of rain late Monday night into early Tuesday. The best chance of rain is between 12-8 am. The rain will start and end soonest in western CT and start/end latest in Southeastern Massachusetts. There is a chance of some snow in the highest elevations of NW CT.
The temperature will range from the 30s inland to the 40s at the coast. Expect partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with temps in the mid 40s. Cold weather moves in with plenty of clouds on Wednesday. A disturbance passing through could bring a few snow showers, but accumulating snow is not likely. The high temperature will only be near 40 on Wednesday.
A gradual warm-up is ahead for the end of the workweek. Look for highs in the mid-upper 40s on Thursday and in the 50s on Friday. A sharp cold front moving through on Friday will bring colder weather briefly for the start of the weekend. It’s early, but the outlook for the weekend features increasing clouds on Saturday with rain Saturday night followed by a dry/windy Sunday. It’s even earlier to look ahead to Thanksgiving week, but let’s do it anyway. The weather may be relatively warm in the midweek with dry conditions likely Monday and Tuesday. There are signs that a storm could arrive with rain sometime between Wednesday and early Thursday. I’ll keep you posted!
