The workweek starts with dry and seasonable weather on Monday. Look for highs in the low 40s with some sunshine. Clouds increase Monday night and a fast-moving frontal system is in the forecast for Tuesday.
Expect clouds to start with a brief period of snow/sleet possible in the morning in western CT before a change to rain by midday. It will be mainly or all rain in eastern CT and RI midday into the afternoon. The temperature will rise through the 30s late in the day and during the evening. Wintry/icy travel is not expected from this storm system.
Skies will dry on Wednesday with highs near 40. It turns colder and stays dry Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s – even with some sunshine. Mild weather gradually returns next weekend. It looks like it will stay dry through the weekend.
There’s potential for a storm in the middle to end of next week, but it does not look very favorable for snow over rain. If there is no snow, this February will go in the books as one of the least snowy on record in Southern New England.
