September 20 – Quiet weather continues

Hurricane Teddy will stay out to sea and bring a gusty wind and large waves to the New England coast. It will not, however, bring any rain. A dry weather pattern continues through this week.

Expect gusty winds in coastal New England early this week

Teddy will be a large and powerful offshore hurricane early this week. It’s effects will be felt in New England with a gusty northeast to northerly breeze Monday and Tuesday. There will also be rough seas offshore and high surf at the beaches. Rain stays offshore, and the temperature will be on the cool side early in the week – highs in the 60s.

DRY weather rules as Teddy stays away

As Teddy moves away, gorgeous weather arrives for the mid to late workweek. It may last through most of the weekend, too. Look for temps to jump into the 70s on Wednesday, and stays there into the weekend. A wind shift could cool the coast Saturday or Sunday. Dry weather is all but certain until at least late in the weekend. The wind will relax as Teddy moves away.

The long-range outlook favors warmer-than-normal, but unsettled, weather next week. There is a better chance of rain in the early to middle part of next week.
