NWS expands Winter Storm Warning to Providence and Boston

Snow broke out before dawn on Thursday, and it will continue for several hours before changing to rain from southeast to northwest on Thursday. The National Weather Service in Taunton, MA believes a likelihood exists for more than 6″ of snow in Boston and Providence. That is higher than the current Right Weather forecast, but it is possible given the very tricky nature of timing the changeover to rain on Thursday. The Winter Storm Warning now includes most of RI and MA, and all of CT. See below for details from the National Weather Service. Follow the Right Weather Live Blog here.

The National Weather Service has expanded the Winter Storm Warning to include the Providence and Boston Metro Areas
