Hi-res modeling shows 90°+ heat in the Northeast

By now it should come as no surprise that there is more hot weather in the forecast for Southern New England in the week ahead. As it nears, we are getting a better look at some of the predicted high temperatures by high-resolution short/medium range computer modeling. This particular model, a 4km resolution version of the North American Model (NAM), shows high temperatures above 90° inland in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England away from the coast.

Tuesday is predicted to be hotter than Monday, but the dew point temperature is forecasted to be lower, so the heat index or feel like temperature will be similar – near 100°.
