Event Forecast: Kenny Chesney at Gillette Stadium

Kenny Chesney makes his annual visit to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA this weekend. Friday and Saturday will be the last two shows of the “No Shoes Nation” tour. The concert lineup also includes Kacey Musgraves, Eli Young Band, and Eric Church. Of course, tailgating is a big part of the fun at the New England Country Music Festival, and, this year it looks like the weather will cooperate for the tailgating and the concerts.

A cold front will move through Southern New England early Friday morning switching the wind from southwest to north. The change in wind direction will allow drier air to move in. A passing shower or thundershower cannot be ruled out Friday afternoon or evening, but it looks like they will be isolated at worst. With a bit of luck, they will stay away from Foxboro. It will be a partly sunny and warm day, with highs in the 80s. The humidity will be dropping during the day, and it should be noticeably less humid by the time the concert starts in the early evening.
