High Wind Watch for SNE Wednesday
A potent storm system will bring heavy rain and the potential for strong, damaging winds to Southern New England on Wednesday. Hurricane force winds will be merely 500-1000 ft. off the ocean surface as the storm moves the Atlantic Seaboard. While it is unlikely that 70+ mph winds will mix down to the surface, the potential exists for 55 mph southerly wind gusts in part of Southern New England. The strongest winds are likely from late Tuesday night through midday Wednesday.
