Record cold highs in Providence, Hartford, Worcester

If you thought it was highly unusual to have weather this cold in late-November in Southern New England, you are absolutely right. In fact, the record low maximum temperatures for November 24 were tied or reached at three of the four major climatology sites in Southern New England. Providence, RI tied the record cold high temperature for the date. The record was broken in Hartford, CT and Worcester, MA. Boston came up shy of setting the record because the temperature shortly after midnight was still above current record.
