NWS issues Winter Storm Warning and Blizzard Watch

A fast-developing and potent winter storm will come close enough to Southern New England to bring 8-12 hours of snow and wind Saturday afternoon and night. The worst conditions are likely in Eastern Massachusetts where the National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch. The rest of Southeastern Massachusetts and all of Rhode Island are in a Winter Storm Warning. See details below.
