Stray Showers Possible Tuesday

The overall cool and dry weather pattern will continue in Southern New England. A few light rain showers are possible Tuesday as a disturbance passes, but, for the most part, it will be more of the same for the rest of the workweek.

Clouds will increase Monday night as the weakening disturbance moves into the Northeast. Lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s early Tuesday. A few showers are possible Tuesday, primarily in the morning. It does not look like the rain will be as widespread as it was over the weekend. Some clearing is possible late Tuesday afternoon, and highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Dry weather rides in on a northwest breeze Tuesday night, and lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s again Wednesday morning. There will be plenty of sunshine Wednesday afternoon. It will be seasonably cool with highs ranging from the upper 60s to low 70s. Thursday will be another nice late-summer day, albeit a bit cool with lows and highs in the same range as Wednesday.

It will get even cooler late in the workweek and for the first part of the weekend. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s on Friday, and lows will range from the upper 30s in the countryside to mid 40s in the cities on Saturday morning. Patchy frost cannot be ruled out in the countryside.

The weekend looks nice, with highs in the upper 60s on Saturday, and low to mid 70s on Sunday. The breeze will swing around to the south on Sunday allowing for the warm-up. Both days look mainly clear.
