Beautiful Sunday; Warm Week Ahead

It has been a while since Southeastern New England has enjoyed several days in the 70s during one week. The upcoming week will feature plenty of warm weather away from the coast. Of course, at this time of the year it will be much cooler near the coast with an onshore breeze. The weekend will end with nice weather on Sunday. Look for partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s inland, and upper 50s to low 60s near the coast. There will be a 10-20 mph southwest breeze.

It will stay warm inland on Monday.  Highs will be in the low to mid 70s away from ocean. Skies will be mostly sunny inland. There could be some haze and low clouds near the coast, especially early and late in the day. Highs will be close to 60 at the coast due to the 10-25 mph breeze.

A cold front will move through on Tuesday. It will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 60s to low 70s. The weather that follows on Wednesday will not be cooler, and highs in the 70s are possible inland. Thursday also looks like a relatively warm day with plenty of sunshine. A back door cold front may move through on Friday. That would shift the wind to the northeast and knock the temperature back 10° or so. Highs in the 60s are likely on Friday.

The early outlook for next weekend is for dry weather on Saturday, and a chance of showers on Mother’s Day.
