After a mostly cloudy start, skies will become partly to mostly sunny on Friday afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s inland, and in the 70s near the coast. The wind will turn onshore in the afternoon. Friday night looks partly cloudy and comfortable. The temperature will settle back through the 60s to near 60 by dawn on the 4th.
SATURDAY
The 4thCast has taken a turn for the worse. A storm system moving off the Mid-Atlantic coast may come close enough to bring showers to Southeastern New England Saturday afternoon and evening. It looks like it will be a mostly cloudy and relatively cool day. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s in Rhode Island, and upper 60s to low 70s in Southeastern Massachusetts. The best chance of rain is in the afternoon and evening. Right now, the odds of rain are right around 50/50 – much higher than they were yesterday. Check again Friday on this important forecast. Saturday evening looks cloudy and cool, with temps in the low to mid 60s, and the chance of showers.
SUNDAY
It will be sunnier and warmer on Sunday. Highs will be in the low 80s inland, and 70s near the coast. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. There will be a northwest breeze that shifts to the southwest late in the day.
NEXT WEEK
The early part of next week (Monday into Tuesday morning) looks dry and warm. As the week progresses, it will stay humid, but showers could be in the mix as soon as late Tuesday. The best chance of showers looks like Wednesday and Thursday. Overall, the weather pattern will stay unsettled like the past month.
