A few showers have been popping up over RI this afternoon, but the heavy stuff has stayed to our west. Severe t-storms have hit near New York City, where a tornado touched down in Breezy Point and Brooklyn, and other storms have led to tornado warnings in Western CT.
The action should pick up this evening, and I will be live blogging any updates on the potential for severe weather in Southern New England.
