The annual Give & Glam event will be held Thursday, October 4 at Belle Mer on Goat Island in Newport, RI. The upscale shopping, beauty and fashion event with a glamorous pink carpet arrival for guests is hosted by Julie Ruditzky Loffredi. Unfortunately, with such a spectacular venue, the weather does not look like it will be very cooperative. Give & Glam meet Damp & Dreary. The storm that has been bothering us for a couple of days with clouds, mist, fog and a few showers will bring a final round of showers on Thursday evening. The rain could be steady, similar to what we received on Tuesday evening. On the positive side, it won’t be terribly cool for early October, with the temperature in the 60s.
