Fine stretch of weather in Southern New England

Orionid Meteor Shower Peaks Saturday night

The conditions are looking good for viewing the Orionid Meteor Shower on Saturday night. If you want to check them out, the best viewing is after midnight until dawn, and you should try to get as far away from city lights as possible. The temperature will fall to the mid to upper 40s with a westerly breeze at 5-10 mph Saturday night. The breeze should help to limit the development of fog, and the sky will likely be mainly clear.

There is no reason to be concerned about foul weather on Sunday. It will be a nice mid-fall day in Southern New England. Look for a blend of clouds and sun, highs in the low 60s, and a west-northwest breeze at 10-15 mph. More fine weather is likely Monday and Tuesday. Once again, highs will be in the 60s, with lows in the 40s. A weakening cold front will move through late Tuesday. A passing shower is possible from late-afternoon through the evening, and more dry, relatively mild weather will follow for the rest of the workweek.
