Event Forecast: Christmas 10K Run and 5K Walk Newport

The 29th annual Christmas 10k Run and 5K Walk to benefit Women & Infants Program in Women’s Oncology Integrative Care Program will take place Sunday, December 9, at 10 am at Rogers High School in Newport, RI. The race is run in loving memory of Tricia Lovett Stallman and for all the women that have been touched by cancer. After the race, head to Rogers High School cafeteria for post-race refreshments and awards. This great race features a very scenic course that winds from near Rogers High School to Ocean Drive before finishing near Rogers High School.

Even though we have some unsettled weather in the forecast for most of the next five days, there is a nice window of dry weather on Sunday morning. In fact, considering it’s early-December, the weather should be quite fine for the runners and walkers. The wind will be relatively light, there may be some clouds, but it will not be terribly cold, with temperatures in the low 40s.
