Arctic air continues to pour into Southern New England on strong north-northwesterly winds. The temperature made it into the mid teens to low 20s Thursday afternoon, but it will fall again into the low to mid single digits inland by dawn Friday. The wind is expected to stay active overnight, and the coldest locations may see wind chills approaching -20 F. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory warning of the dangers of prolonged exposure to the dangerous combination of wind and frigid temperatures. Frostbite is not a concern in less than 30 minutes in the projected conditions.
