National Weather Service expands Winter Storm Warning

The Winter Storm Warning in effect for Saturday night and Sunday has been expanded to all of RI and interior SE MA, including Boston. There is also a High Wind Warning and Wind Advisory in effect near the coast. A fast-developing, potent storm will pass east of Nantucket Sunday morning. Wind-driven snow is likely in RI and SE MA, with the worst conditions likely on Cape Cod and Nantucket. The Winter Storm Warning signifies strong potential for six or more inches of snow. The National Weather Service forecast accumulations are a bit higher than the Right Weather forecast. See the text below from the National Weather Service Taunton office.
