NWS issues Winter Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service office in Taunton, MA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for RI and SE MA Saturday night and Sunday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect on Cape Cod and Nantucket where the heaviest snow and strongest winds are expected. A fast-developing storm will sideswipe Southeastern New England with snow and gusty winds Saturday night into Sunday. The track of the steadiest snow is still somewhat uncertain, but it looks favorable for a few inches in E RI and SE MA, with 6″ possible on Cape Cod and Nantucket.
