Nice weather continues on Friday

The temperature reached 80° at TF Green Airport Thursday afternoon for the first time since September 13, 2012. That is a span of 245 days or 8 months and 3 days. By reaching 81°, it became the warmest day since September 7, 2012. While it will not be as warm on Friday, it will still be quite nice in Southern New England. Thursday night will be clear and seasonably mild. The low temperature will be in the low 50s. Friday should be mostly sunny and pleasant, with a light northwesterly breeze that turns onshore in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s near the coast, and low 70s inland.

The quiet weather will carry over into the weekend. Saturday looks mostly sunny with a sea breeze. Lows will be in the upper 40s, and highs will reach the mid 60s at the coast, and low 70s inland. The fair weather will hang on Sunday, with a blend of sun and clouds. Highs will be a bit cooler – in the low to mid 60s near the coast, and in the upper 60s inland.

The weather does not look as nice next week, with the chance of showers on Monday as a disturbance moves from the Mid-Atlantic to Southern New England. There may be break in the action Tuesday into Wednesday before showers threaten again late in the workweek. It will be seasonable, with highs in the 60s to low 70s, and lows in the low 50s.
