High temperatures and humidity are leading to a fourth straight day with Heat Advisory criteria in part of Southern New England. The heat index is expected to be near 100° Sunday afternoon in the Providence area and most of interior Southeastern Massachusetts. The advisory is in effect from 2pm to 7pm.
Scattered thunderstorms are possible late in the afternoon or evening to help cool off areas that have seen high temperatures in the 90s since the 4th of July.
